World War I Poster: Uncle Sam
An inspiring example of the dramatic artwork employed during World War I (1914-1918) to promote volunteerism, donations and bond sales used to finance the War. The Library’s collections hold over 3,000 international WWI posters donated by Edward Michael.
This poster will be among many to be exhibited at the downtown Buffalo, New York, Central Library beginning November 18, 2017 as part of the 2-year exhibition “Buffalo Never Fails: The Queen City and World War I” exhibition.
