City Hall, Buffalo, N.Y.
Lithograph postcard view of Buffalo City Hall, which was completed in November 1931, and officially dedicated in July 1932, in time for the city’s centennial celebrations. The 32-story Art Deco structure, designed by chief architect John Wade, was built on the west side of Niagara Square and was considered the most important square in Joseph Ellicott’s street design. Decorative art illustrates Buffalo’s past, and the building remains in the heart of the downtown business district as a historic landmark.
